Mix together the coconut oil, maple syrup, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a small bowl.

Step Three: Bake the gingerbread popcorn

Place the popped popcorn in a large roasting pan and pour the maple syrup mixture onto the popcorn, tossing gently so that the popcorn is evenly coated. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring every couple minutes. Once it starts to brown a little, it’s done.

  • 3 tbs. coconut oil
  • 3 tbs. maple syrup
  • 3/4 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.

  • Pop the popcorn. I use this air popper, but any popping method will work.

  • In a small bowl, stir together the melted coconut oil, maple syrup, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Place the popped popcorn in a large roasting pan or on a baking sheet that has sides. Pour the maple syrup mixture over the popcorn and stir gently, so that the popcorn is evenly coated.

  • Bake for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring every couple minutes. Once it starts to brown a bit, it's done. Cool on a wire rack.
