My mum asked me to bake these for her, I gave it a crack and now both my parents won't stop asking me to make more! Very easy to follow recipe, delicious treats at the end

yummy ever so nice take them for my lunch at night theres never enough

Easy to follow for a novice

Have been using this reciepe since i was cooking at School, over 48 years ago never fails. My best recipe's are out of the Edmonds Cooking Book. Delish, now my kids are making them for there kids.

Absolutely delicious

Fan bake or not?

A lovely mixture. Used salted peanuts - left out salt. Yum
Won't last long.

These are the best peanut brownies ever so good

Recommended! I quadrupled this recipe & made it with an assortment of GF flours (with GF baking you ALWAYS NEED an assortment, not just one type of GF flour!) , & instead of butter I used coconut oil & a small skeritch of cocoa butter, in the same quantity as the recipe asked. I was very particular with the baking measurements, yet skipped an egg as I only had 3 & saw someones 'no egg' but brilliant comment & figured it would be ok. I used a half tap of pink rock salt & for the sweetness used some raw sugar but mostly substituted the sugar with an assortment of sugar alternatives such as coconut sugar, stevia & monkfruit, but I used one less cup of "sugar” than called for... And it was perfect, not too sweet. I probably put in a cup & a half of cocoa as I like my chocolate things dark. Also noted that the fairly dry recipe did ok with a bit of water added- from another comment, & figured it's probably good to replace the moisture that would have been in the egg I'd skipped, so I added a third of a cup of water to my quadruple mix. We only had a 500g bag of peanuts, so effectively I cut the peanuts by around maybe half? But there was still almost too many to mix in properly. Good thing is I finally made something I had intended to for years & in the process, used up a lot of last bits of things that needed using but were almost running out! Once finished, this left me with 2 batches in tins here, 1 for us & 1 for my parents down the road. I figure it will last 2-3 days, then there's 1 lot of dough for the freezer waiting for the next family birthday party... The other quarter must have been shared out to all the other brownies, but I don't make tiny nuggets of Bikkie's! One tray had a baker's dozen & the other had 18. I am very impressed with the rising on these as not all GF things bother to do that... I am sure I will be back to check out how to successfully make this recipe GF & DF again! One batch I cooked 15 mins but middle was a bit soft, so I gave 18 to the other ( both cooked at the same time, but I figured these would probably be slightly bigger than the ones in the recipe) & they had more crunch... I think a minute or 2 less than the longer time would have been perfect. Next time! Hopefully mine will inspire others to give it a go doing these GF or Df too! & Thanks also to everyone else whose comments helped me tweak this recipe!

Wow love this bizcuits they are so yummy my old girlfriends like them too reminds them of when Grandma use to make them in the good old days great recipe

COVID had given me the passion to learn how to bake peanut brownies and attending night classes to learn how to cook. I bake peanut brownies 5-6 time a year and cook dinner for the family every weekends. Thank you CHELSEA and thank you COVID for a lowing me to think outside the box. You are awesome keep up the good work.

This recipe is the best, these turn out great and are really tasty

This recipe is exactly the same as Edmonds peanut brownies recipe!

This recipe always turns out well. I use slightly less flour. This is the recipe from the original Edmonds cookbook

This is the exact same recipe as is found in the Edmonds cook book? Who is Debby a contributor to the cook book?

Quick easy to make and don't last long in the cookie jar

My go to peanut brownies recipe now. Soft inside and crunchy outside. They are delicious.

This has now become our favourite peanut brownies recipe and so easy to make

Very easy recipe and turned out well

Great!

Can i use plain flour?

Yummy! Thank you for this. Has been awhile since I had peanut Brownies with roasted peanuts. Reminds me of when I was a child.

I have made these over and over again. They never fail and are a lovely chocolatey Peanut Brownie. I tend to put 3/4 cup peanuts and an extra Tablespoon of Cocoa. Have also substituted the peanuts with toasted almonds when I was out of peanuts (cut in half) and this was also amazing. Firm favourite recipe

Makes perfect Biccies. Love this recipe, so does the family.

Awesome recipe! The biscuits come out crunchy and as you’d expect for a nice peanut brownie. I tend to put extra cocoa powder in as I like mine super chocolaty. I also don’t use as many peanuts. This recipe is a keeper and they are easy to make. I also have used chopped up almonds and it’s worked just as well.

Excellent easy n ooh so yummy

Partial to the odd peanut or so but never usually finish them so they wind up in the peanut brownies, put them in the blender first (never really liked the chunky nut thing) chuck them in the bread maker (dough setting) after mixing use my 1tbsp measure as a mold bang them out on the tray stick them in the oven ,lovely!

Made these for my granddad. They turned out very well.

Good simple recipe.

These cookies were good but we used raw sugar instead or white sugar. The cookies tasted great and they are easy to make. I would recommend this to others.

Easy to make and delicious!

Great recipe. Next time I will only put in 1/2 to 3/4 cup of peanuts.

Great recipe my Mum used for years, but I don’t think it’s Debbies? Isn’t this the New Zealand Edmonds Cookbook recipe?

My husband loves these and bakes them often. The recipe is a little dry so I add water to my mixture and this has always produced the best peanut brownies!

NZs finest peanut brownie recipe right here! ❤️

Best cookies ever. Absolutely love them and reminds me of the ones my Nana use to make me.

I used milo instead of cocoa. In lockdown. No egg either. Best peanut brownies ever.

Best recipe for peanut brownies. I have been using this recipe for many years now. I do add extra coco powder though and cook for 12-14 minutes. We don't have a mixer so we just mix by hand and always turn out perfect. And be sure to make 2 batches at a time because otherwise they wouldn't last 5 minutes!

Love them, they turned out perfect with a teaspoon of peanut butter. Yummy.

This is an excellent recipe, I have made it several times but each time with cashew nuts instead of peanuts... devine!! Also I make 16 to 18 cookies (so a little bigger) and cook for 13 or 14 mins and they are still yummy and soft, sorta chewy if you prefer them that way :)

Excellent had my young son do the mix while I called out instructions, excellent results thankyou

INCREDIBLE cookies! Made these with the family and turned out amazing. Definitely recommended.

This is the recipe from the cookbook for "flatters", shouldn't be claiming as your own 'Debby'

these are delicous and very easy to make my dad loves them and they are even better if you roast the peanuts thnx so much for giving this recipie (:

Now my go-to. easy and great. Nice crisp biscuit.

These cookies please me.

Easy, crispy and yummy. Instead of 1 cup sugar used 1/2 a cup of honey and 1/4 tsp of baking soda. Made 15 brownies using a metal cookie scoop.

They were simply fantastic. Best ever peanut brownie recipe I have used.

So easy to make and the best success ever.

Love these. My go to peanut brownie recipe

Love these, been making them since I can remember. Still a family fav, great with a cup of tea!

Easy and delicious.

I have made this recipe several times and it has produced delicious peanut brownies every time. Works every time, a firm favorite.

Yep its same as edmonds , I double everything as well to make a decent batch as they don't last long.Try chocolate chips but decrease suger that's what I do.

Very tasty. I think 'Debby' might have got her recipe from Edmonds Food for Flatters ;)

My whole family LOVE these biscuits! I make them with white chocolate buttons for the school lunchboxes (as peanuts are banned) and peanuts for at home. Double batch every time! :)

My family loves these. Quick and easy to make. I roast the peanuts for a bit.. adds an extra flavour factor
