I recently asked Shark Tank's Daymond John one of my favorite questions: Since becoming successful, have you hit rock bottom and if so, what did you pick up while you were down there that was useful. Recently, in an incredibly candid moment, the visionary behind FUBU and a powerhouse on Shark Tank, Daymond John, shared a profound piece of wisdom with me that every entrepreneur should treasure...When I asked Daymond if he has hit rock bottom since becoming successful and if so, what he picked up down there ... he opened up about the cyclical nature of life and business, emphasizing that success is not a safeguard against failure. He started asking which Rock Bottom I wanted to hear about. The one this morning, yesterday, the day before, the week before, the month before... The low of getting only 4hrs sleep most nights, the low of no matter what I do my wife and kids still think I'm an idiot, the fact I can't share my lows with anyone ...Sounds familiar? Hell...yes!Success does not make you immune against hitting rock-bottom ... in fact, he thinks hitting rock-bottom is an ongoing "passage of entry" to get the next level in every aspect of our life ... :) Daymond shared these lessons: 💡Learn to Embrace Failure as a Stepping Stone: Daymond reminds us that hitting rock bottom is not the end; it's a harsh but honest teacher. The lessons learned in these moments are invaluable, shaping resilience, strategic thinking, and a deeper understanding of our ventures and ourselves.🔍Find Clarity in the Depths: In his journey, Daymond found that the lowest points often provide the clearest perspective on what truly matters - both in business and in life. It’s down there, in the quiet aftermath of upheaval, that we discover our core values and the direction we need to take.🔄 Leverage The Power of a Comeback: Perhaps the most compelling lesson is the power of a comeback. Daymond’s story is a testament to not just surviving the lows but using them as a launchpad for greater heights. His resilience is a beacon for entrepreneurs navigating their own turbulent waters. To all business owners out there: Remember, the valleys are as much a part of the journey as the peaks. What we pick up in our lowest moments can define our path to success. Let Daymond John's journey inspire you to look at setbacks not as the end, but as the beginning of a new chapter, filled with potential and growth.🚀 Your biggest breakthrough might just be waiting on the other side of your biggest challenge. Keep pushing, keep learning, and remember, you're not alone in this journey. For those of you that have been successful in any area of your life, have you hit rock-bottom since achieving that success ... and if so, what did YOU pick up while you were down here...I will share a few of mine in another post... )#daymondjohn #sharktank #impossibleunless #theoryofconstraints #entrepreneur #learningfrommistakes

Halloween 2007 we lost our dear friend Meredith Kercher in awful circ*mstances. A wonderful human being taken from us too early, I think it’s important her memory is kept alive. On a personal note, it changed me forever in so many ways. I also vowed never to forget the feeling of grief, to try and bottle it as a reminder that we have a duty to maximise our time. • To always strive for better personally and professionally.• To use our body as the gift it is.• To stay humble and be kind. • To take risks. • To trust your gut.• To pursue your passions. • To get out if you are not happy. • To be relentless. Grief can be a tool for endless growth if channeled correctly, something Bianca Errigo speaks eloquently about.#founder #startup #grief #entrepreneurship #business
